Samsung WF53BB8900A Bespoke Front-Load Washer
โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜† 8.3 / 10

Samsung's Bespoke washer looks incredible and cleans brilliantly โ€” the 5.3 cu. ft. drum is enormous, the AI cycle detection is impressive in concept, and the door design is genuinely striking. The thing that keeps it from a higher score is the AI cycle logic that occasionally overthinks simple loads, adding unnecessary time and heat. Disable it and run cycles manually and it's a seriously impressive machine.

โšก The Verdict

8.3
The Samsung WF53BB8900A is a genuinely excellent washer held back by overcomplicated AI that gets in its own way. Run it on manual cycles and the massive capacity, solid cleaning, and good noise levels make it very easy to recommend. Just know what you're getting.

๐Ÿ”ฌ Performance & Testing

Capacity: 5.3 cu. ft. is genuinely massive. I washed a king comforter plus a set of king sheets in a single load โ€” that's typically a laundromat trip for most households. For large families or anyone doing heavy laundry, the capacity alone justifies consideration.

AI OptiWash: In theory, the AI detects soil level via turbidity sensor and adjusts water, heat, and time accordingly. In practice it works well on consistent load types. Where it stumbles is on loads that are mixed โ€” a few heavily soiled items in an otherwise lightly soiled load sometimes get treated as a light load overall. Manual cycle selection eliminates this issue entirely.

StormWash+: The directional jet spray for heavily soiled spots on the bottom of the drum is a genuine feature. Greasy pans in the back of the drum come out noticeably cleaner when the jet spray is activated compared to just tumbling.

๐Ÿ’ก Nerd Tip: Turn off AI OptiWash for everyday loads and use it only for loads you're uncertain about. Set your own cycles manually โ€” Heavy for towels and jeans, Normal for everyday clothes, Delicates for anything fragile. You'll get faster, more consistent results than letting the AI figure it out.
